Department of Gameland Security (DGS) Director Tyrone Jarvis and Astrospace and Defense Director Jeffrey Bushnell today announced the Tri-Country International Asteroid Plan, which should destroy the giant asteroid hurtling through space at the planet. This plan is the result of several fact finding missions to space, as well as two weeks of meetings with well-respected scientists.
The Asteroid, nicknamed 64355, is about four months from destroying the planet. This is why Gameland leaders spearheaded the campaign to destroy it. In order to make this impossible job a reality, President Harrison called in Gameland's neighbors to the north (Super Gameland) and south (Tierra Del Fuego) to help out with the task at hand.
Tierra Del Fuego's Professor Mel Diaz and Super Gameland's Doctor Vondel Drake brought years of asteroid experience to the table and quickly helped the men of Astrospace and Defense devise the perfect plan that would destroy the giant rock once and for all. "It's simple," said Jarvis. "We send a pilot up in a triangle shaped ship, and then he blasts away at the thing until it's no longer a threat."
The triangle Director Jarvis spoke of is a ship design approved by all three countries. "We wanted something that could be agile and aerodynamic at the same time," said Professor Diaz. The triangle ship is widely known to be one of the best kinds of ships there is. At one time the triangle ship was plagued by a delicate hull and tricky shields, but the latest version of the craft should be successful.
The Tri-Country International Asteroid Plan's triangle space ship should be launched by next week.
